100-Hour Meditation Teacher Training on Agonda Beach, Goa

100-Hour Meditation Teacher Training on Agonda Beach, Goa

India · 15 days · From USD 765

This 100-hour training replaces vague theory with practical, structured learning. The course covers the theory and philosophy of meditation, the physiological effects of stress, and a long list of meditation types: relaxation, concentration, awareness, chakra balancing, kundalini, yoga nidra, pranic awareness, mantra, mindfulness, loving-kindness, and third-eye meditation. Each is taught with an eye toward how you'll teach it to others. The practicum is a core part of the week: you'll practice teaching, receive feedback from teachers and peers, and observe others teaching.

What makes it different is the team. Dr. Keshava is the lead teacher, and his philosophy classes are a highlight for many graduates. The rest of the team is equally strong. Shubham, who got his start at age four, teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga, with a focus on combining modern science with traditional practice. Eleanor Evrard, an osteopath, teaches anatomy with a practical approach that helps you understand your own body and your future students'. You'll also work with Amaresha, an Ashtanga specialist with 20 years of experience, and Yogeesh, a multi-style teacher with over a decade in the field. It's a deep bench.

The location is a big part of the appeal. Agonda is in South Goa, far from the parties of the north. The beach is guarded by local officials, which means no hawkers or hassle—just sand, water, and quiet. It's a genuine place to focus. The training runs from November to March, when the weather is sunny and temperatures stay between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius.

You'll stay at the school or a guesthouse minutes away. The food is organic and mostly plant-based, prepared in a dedicated kitchen for the participants. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included on training days, with Sunday meals excluded. The course is intensive, but the schedule includes free time in the afternoons and a full day off on Sunday, giving you space to rest and recover before another week of study.
