India · 11 days · From USD 550
The 100-hour Multi Style Yoga Teacher Training is a two-week intensive that runs Monday to Friday, with weekends mostly free (Saturday is breakfast only, Sunday has no meals, so you can explore or rest). The curriculum covers the key styles—Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa—along with pranayama, meditation, kriyas, and alignment. You'll also study anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy, the Yoga Sutras, and the history and tradition of yoga. By the end, you'll know how to sequence a class, assist students, and make postural adjustments.
What sets this training apart is the teaching. Alpesh Patwari, the founder, was introduced to yoga by his mother and has been practicing since he was 12 to manage epilepsy. He's studied with Jain monks and Iyengar teachers, and he's been leading teacher trainings since 2006. His classes are challenging but laced with humor. Supporting him are teachers like Shivansh, a former software engineer with a wrestling background, and Roopam, who has trained extensively with Sivananda and other institutes. Each brings their own flavor—from anatomy to philosophy to pranayama.
The school also makes it easy to continue your training. If you complete the 100-hour course, you can return within 36 months to do the second semester and complete your 200-hour certification. That flexibility is rare and valuable if you know you want to teach but can't commit to a month away right now.
The location itself is a draw. Dharamkot is a quiet village, perfect for focus. But you're also just a short trip from McLeod Ganj, the vibrant Tibetan community where you can visit temples, try momos, or just soak in the atmosphere. The school organizes group excursions, and there are plenty of hiking trails right from your doorstep. It's a genuine Himalayan experience, not just a studio with a mountain view.
