100-Hour Yin Yoga & Sound Healing Teacher Training on the Greek Island of Lesvos

The training runs 100 contact hours across 11 days, split into seven modules. Module 1 covers Yin Yoga foundations: what distinguishes Yin from other styles, its roots in Daoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Elements framework, and the main Yin poses with propping options. Module 2 moves into anatomy — types of stress applied to tissues, skeletal variation, fascia, joint mobility, and how Yin affects the nervous system and meridians.

Module 3 focuses on teaching methodology: sequencing a class, integrating pranayama and meditation, cue language, hands-on assists, and modifications for different bodies. Modules 4 and 5 introduce sound healing — the science of how frequencies affect brainwaves and the body, plus practical work with gongs, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, chimes, and the voice. You'll also explore using sound for emotional release and spiritual practice.

Module 6 brings the two threads together: how to layer sound into a Yin sequence, work with chakras and meridians through vibration, and structure a sound bath within a Yin class. Module 7 is teaching practice — you'll lead your own Yin and sound healing sessions, receive feedback, and prepare for the final assessment, which is leading a full session.

The setting is the Mediterranean Retreats Center, a former tavern a few metres from the sea in a quiet stretch of the island. Rooms have sea-view balconies and air conditioning. Meals are vegetarian with a Middle Eastern slant, made from ingredients grown on local volcanic soil. Afternoons occasionally include group excursions — past guests have visited beaches, villages, and historic churches around the island.
