100-Hour Yin Yoga & Sound Healing Teacher Training on the Greek Island of Lesvos

100-Hour Yin Yoga & Sound Healing Teacher Training on the Greek Island of Lesvos

Greece · 11 days · From USD 1150

The curriculum runs roughly 100 contact hours across ten nights. Mornings start at 08:00 with a Yang-to-Yin practice before breakfast at 09:45. Theory sessions follow—covering Daoist philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Elements, fascia, skeletal variation, and spinal anatomy—then you break down individual Yin poses before lunch at 13:30. Afternoons are devoted to sound: the science of vibration, how different frequencies affect the nervous system and brainwaves, and hands-on time with gongs, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, and chimes. A combined Yin-and-sound practice runs from 16:45 until dinner at 19:00.

The training is split into seven modules. Modules 1–3 cover Yin Yoga foundations, anatomy (including planes of movement, joint range of motion, and the role of breath on the parasympathetic nervous system), sequencing, class structure, and cueing. Modules 4–6 introduce sound healing: its history in Tibetan and shamanic traditions, how chakra tuning works, using mantras and vocal toning, and building a full sound-bath experience layered into a Yin class. Module 7 is dedicated to practice teaching, peer feedback, and assessment prep.

To pass, you must attend every session and lead a complete Yin Yoga & Sound Healing class for your cohort. The prerequisite is at least six months of yoga or sound healing experience—this isn't a beginners' course, but you don't need a prior teaching qualification either.

Beyond the training room, Lesvos offers a lot. The island produces Greece's best olive oil and is the country's ouzo capital. The coast is uncrowded and varied—rocky coves, long sandy beaches, and stretches where migratory birds are the only company. Past participants have taken day trips to local villages, swum at quiet beaches, and watched sunsets from the terrace during evening practice.
