Home › Retreats › 12-Week Muay Thai Fight Camp & Debut Fight in Phuket, Thailand
Thailand · 84 days · From THB 3900
Training runs Monday to Saturday, with Sunday off. Mornings usually start around 07:00 with a run — either on the road or on the treadmill depending on the weather — followed by skipping, shadow boxing and a full pad session with a Thai trainer. After a break for food and rest, the afternoon session from around 16:00 covers bag work, clinch, technique drills and sparring for those who are ready for it. That's the shape of it, six days a week, for twelve weeks, and the schedule is the same one Sumalee has used to prepare fighters for years.
The camp is built around Thai coaches who have fought and cornered professionally. They'll match you appropriately for your debut based on your weight, experience and skill level, and they handle the paperwork side of the fight — the weigh-in the day before, the travel and accommodation for the event, and being in your corner on the night. You fight under full professional Muay Thai rules with judges, referees and standard health and safety measures in place. It's a real fight, not an exhibition.
Sumalee Boxing Gym sits at 234 Soi Hua Tha in Tambon Si Sunthon, on Phuket's west coast, within reach of Bang Tao and Surin beaches. It's a working fight gym, so the atmosphere is training-focused rather than resort-like — you'll be sharing the mats with other fighters on the same path. If you take the nutrition add-on, you get three meals a day Monday to Saturday plus a daily protein smoothie, which takes the guesswork out of eating enough while you're cutting or maintaining for the fight.
What makes this different from a shorter camp is the length. Twelve weeks gives you time to build real technique, get properly conditioned, and spar enough that the fight isn't a shock. Other places offer one-off fight experiences; this is a structured build-up with a debut scheduled at the end for the 2026 promotion, with exact dates still to be confirmed. You can also add private training sessions, massage, ice baths and yoga if you want more recovery or more one-to-one time with a coach.
