Home › Retreats › 14-Day Hybrid 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Portugal
Portugal · 14 days · From USD 2999
Lakshmi Rising's 200-hour training takes a somatic, awareness-based approach to vinyasa yoga. Rather than just drilling poses, the curriculum emphasizes safe alignment, injury prevention, and nervous system regulation, blending classical yoga philosophy with modern exercise science and physical therapy. You'll learn to sequence classes with confidence, develop your authentic teaching voice through practice teaching and personalized feedback, and explore the deeper layers of yoga—pranayama, meditation, mantra, and the subtle body.
The training is led by Dr. Elizabeth Lindh, a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with over 30 years of yoga study. Liz has trained in the vinyasa lineage of T.K.V. Desikachar and Shiva Rea, and has certified over 1,200 students from nearly 50 countries. Her teaching style is warm, approachable, and deeply informed by her background in integrative medicine, and she's supported by a team of assistant teachers including Heidi. The program is intimate, capped at 20 participants, ensuring personalized attention throughout.
Set in the hills of Loulé, in Portugal's Algarve region, the retreat center is a peaceful, gated estate with ocean views. You'll practice in an outdoor yoga shala, study in a cozy lounge, and share meals on the terrace overlooking the landscape. The location offers both seclusion and convenience: you're close to authentic Portuguese towns, beaches, and hiking trails, and the retreat includes two excursion days to explore the area.
The cost covers everything you need for the two-week immersion—accommodation, meals, training, and materials—plus continued support until you complete your certification. This makes it a comprehensive package for anyone serious about becoming a yoga teacher, with the flexibility of the hybrid format being a major draw for those with work or family commitments.
