Home › Retreats › 2-Day Private Couples Somatic Healing and Intimacy Retreat in Da Nang, Vietnam
Vietnam · 2 days · From EUR 6570
The two days are structured around a slow drop-in. Check-in is at 2:00pm the day before your sessions, so you arrive, settle into the room, and have the evening in Da Nang before starting at 9:30am. Each day runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm, with a break for lunch in town afterwards. Mornings typically start with a movement and meditation practice to settle the nervous system, then move into the deeper couple and immersion work. Nothing is rushed — the pace is deliberately slow to let the body catch up with the conversation.
The core of the retreat is somatic repair work. Rather than talking around an issue, you'll be guided into the places where the pattern lives — breath, posture, sensation — and work with it there. There are daily couple sessions where you attune to each other, and immersion work that uses guided exercises and body-level awareness to surface what's been held. You'll also look at your repeating relationship cycle: the loop you both keep living but can't quite name. The facilitator brings in mental, emotional, somatic, spiritual, and erotic layers, but only after the body foundation is established.
What makes this different from a standard couples counselling weekend is the format. It's private, so there's no group sharing and no performing for other people. The facilitator works with one couple at a time, which means the sessions can go where your relationship actually needs to go rather than following a set curriculum. There's also a ceremonial element: a final sacred rite to close the two days and mark the shift. The facilitator has a background in somatic and intimacy work and describes this specific format — nervous-system-first couples work in a private, two-day container — as something they developed because they couldn't find it elsewhere.
The location is a coastal villa in downtown Da Nang. You're close to the beach, restaurants, and cafes, but set back enough that the sessions are quiet. Da Nang itself is a good base for a longer trip: My Khe Beach is a short walk or taxi away, the Marble Mountains are nearby, and the airport is 15–20 minutes by car. If you want to extend the stay, the villa is centrally located for exploring the city's food scene and coastline after the sessions finish each day.
The room is a private double-occupancy room with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom. It has air conditioning, WiFi, a desk, a mini-fridge, and a large-screen TV. It's a comfortable, functional base rather than a luxury resort suite — the focus is on the work, not the room. Breakfast and snacks are provided during the session days, along with tea, coffee, and water. Lunch is not included; you'll eat in town, where there's a wide range of Vietnamese and international food, typically from
5 per person.Airport transfers are included, and the facilitator, Joanna Intara, will pick you up from Da Nang International Airport. You'll need to book your flight to arrive at DAD. The retreat runs on request, so you tell the facilitator your preferred dates and they confirm availability. No payment is taken upfront, and cancellation terms are set by the facilitator and confirmed before you pay.
