Chiang Mai · 27 days · From USD 2544
The full 200-hour curriculum at Suan Sati is a deep immersion into a range of yoga styles, with a particular emphasis on Bhakti yoga. Most training days run from early morning until the evening, with a structure that balances physical asana practice, meditation, philosophy lectures, and teaching methodology. Daily schedule details are laid out for you in the full program, but you'll be practicing Hatha and Vinyasa, sitting in Vipassana meditation, learning about traditional yoga philosophy and Buddhist practices, and doing Yin Yoga and voice work to open up for chanting.
What sets this course apart from other TTCs is how much time is given to Bhakti—the yoga of devotion. You'll be doing mantra meditation, learning to chant, and taking part in weekly kirtan gatherings with professional musicians. This is woven into the rest of the training, so it doesn't feel like a separate add-on but part of the whole approach to connecting with yourself and others. The teaching team is described as young, fun, and excited to share in an open and lighthearted way, while still taking the practice seriously.
The location itself is a big part of what makes this special. Suan Sati is a permaculture farm, and Will is often out tending the gardens and leading meditation. The whole center is eco-friendly, simple but comfortable, and stays intentionally small—training groups run between 4 and 18 participants, so you'll get close to your teachers and fellow trainees. The schedule runs six days a week with one full day off, giving you time to digest what you're learning and explore the local area.
The course is suitable whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner who wants to deepen your knowledge. Teachers Will and Lisa are both long-term practitioners—Lisa is an E-RYT 500 certified teacher with a background as a physiotherapist, and Will brings a foundation in Buddhist meditation and permaculture. Their teaching is grounded in daily life at the center, not just theory from a manual.
