Home › Retreats › 200-Hour Yoga & Reiki Teacher Training in Costa Rica's Blue Zone
Costa Rica · 15 days · From USD 3442
The training runs from morning to evening, six days a week, with Sundays off. A typical day starts with a morning asana and meditation session, then moves into philosophy or anatomy, a teaching methodology workshop, and a practicum where you practice teaching your peers. Reiki is woven through the curriculum—you'll learn the history, hand positions, and how to give and receive attunements, finishing with your Reiki Level I certification. Evenings often include kirtan, group activities, or movie nights, so the community feel stays strong throughout.
What makes this training different is the real mix of traditional yoga and energy work. You're not just learning to teach poses—you're learning to hold space, read energy, and work with sound. The teaching practicums start early and happen often, so by week two you're already comfortable leading a class. The small group size (max 12) means your teaching style gets shaped by direct feedback, not just observation.
The location is a big part of the experience. Con Smania sits in the Nicoya Peninsula, a Blue Zone known for longevity and natural beauty. The jungle around the property is alive with monkeys, iguanas, and tropical birds, and the beach is a few minutes' walk away. On your Sundays off, you can surf, hike, visit Nosara, or just lie in a hammock with a book. February and early March are dry season, so expect sunny days and warm nights—ideal for outdoor practice and beach time.
Adayna Janelle, the founder and lead teacher, has been teaching yoga and Reiki internationally since 2018. She's a certified Reiki Master with over 500 hours of yoga teacher training, and she co-founded Soul School Yoga. Her teaching style is grounded and practical—she's not into fluff. Alongside her, Jia, a guide on the team, brings vinyasa, meditation, and ecstatic movement to the mix, offering a different flavor of practice. The team's focus is on helping you become a teacher who leads from lived experience, not just from a manual.
