India · 21 days · From USD 1680
The 200-hour program is structured over three weeks, Monday to Friday, with weekends off for excursions and integration. Week one lays the foundation with yoga philosophy, the eight limbs, ethics, and the basics of pranayama, meditation, and anatomy. Week two shifts to asana practice in depth—alignment, adjustments, sequencing, and teaching methodology, plus the business side of yoga. Week three is all about teaching: you'll lead full classes under supervision, get feedback, and finish with written exams and a graduation ceremony.
What sets Niramaya apart is the therapeutic lens of the principal teacher, Ms. Dorothea Mishra, who has over 20 years of experience and a background as a German state-approved physiotherapist and psychotherapist. She understands the anatomy of every asana and how to work with individual bodies. Subit, the head of management, brings his own Ashtanga certification and a deep knowledge of yoga philosophy. Together, with their mix of Indian and European perspectives, they adapt the teaching to each student rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
The daily rhythm includes silent morning hours until 11:00, an Ayurvedic dinarcharya routine, and a mix of multistyled therapeutic yoga, Yin, and restorative classes. You'll also have one Ayurvedic cooking class and two cultural excursions to experience local life. The program includes one yoga lesson at the beach each day, weather permitting. It's an intensive but holistic experience, with time for self-study and rest built into the afternoons.
The teaching faculty is backed by a curriculum that covers the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita, mantra chanting, and Yoga Nidra. You'll leave not just with a certificate but with a personal practice that's been shaped by a month of deep immersion in a peaceful, tropical setting.
