Mexico · 10 days · From USD 2847
This is a full 200-hour Yoga Alliance–style teacher training, not just a retreat with a few classes thrown in. Mornings begin at 7:30 with a 90-minute practice and meditation session. Afternoons from 1 to 5 are dedicated to lectures, asana labs, and studying the deeper layers of yoga — chakras, bandhas, mantras, anatomy, and sequencing. Evenings are kept light, with dinner at a local partner restaurant and a short self-observation or study block before lights out at 10:00 PM. You get one full or half day off to explore Tulum's beaches and cenotes.
What makes this program different from other teacher trainings is the small group size and how much individual attention that allows. The host keeps groups to between one and four participants, and the lead trainer, Tugba, has over 13 years of teaching experience with more than 500 RYT certified hours. She brings a background in feminine coaching and embodied leadership, and reviews consistently mention her patient, judgment-free teaching style. The training opens with a cacao ceremony and a chanting event, and covers hands-on adjustments, anatomy, pranayama, and the practical business of designing classes and supporting students.
The accommodation is located at Central Park Lagunas, about 6.3 km from the Tulum Archaeological Site and around 20 minutes from the beach. It's a self-contained property with a pool, garden, restaurant, and fitness centre. Rooms come with air conditioning, a kitchenette, and private bathrooms, so you have space to sleep, cook, and relax between study sessions. It's a practical, comfortable base for a training-heavy week — not a five-star resort, but clean, modern, and well equipped.
You'll eat breakfast and dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant that the host has selected vegetarian options from. Expect simple, filling Mexican-style cooking: omelets or pancakes in the morning, and rice, pasta, legumes, or vegetable plates in the evening, usually served with natural orange juice or lemonade. Lunch is left open, which is actually nice — it gives you a reason to wander into Tulum town and explore the food scene on your own.
