200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in the Himalayas: Hatha, Ashtanga & Vinyasa

Rishikesh · 25 days · From USD 473

The Agni Yoga India 200-hour Teacher Training course is an immersive program that treats yoga as a complete discipline, not just a physical workout. The curriculum covers the dynamic practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa with its breath-synchronised movements, the classical alignment focus of Hatha Yoga, and the deep rest of Yin Yoga. Alongside asana, students engage in daily pranayama (breath control) and a rotating schedule of meditation styles, from mantra and Japa to Yoga Nidra and silence practice, ensuring a well-rounded personal development.

A significant portion of the course is practical. You won't just learn how to teach in theory; from early on, you'll practise sequencing, observe other students, and lead full classes under the guidance of the experienced teaching team. The instructors, each with years of experience, provide constructive feedback on your verbal cueing, adjustments, and class management, helping you find your own authentic voice as a teacher. The curriculum also includes two weeks of specialised workshops like Acro Yoga, Sound Healing, and Karma Yoga, which add variety to the traditional training schedule.

The location in Rishikesh, the 'Yoga Capital of the World', provides a unique atmosphere of a Himalayan ashram. Days are structured and designed to support your growth, with a 6-day program cycle that integrates all the core elements. The ashram is a short distance from the sacred Ganges River, where you can participate in the evening Ganga Aarti, a vibrant ceremony of fire and prayer. The course balances dedicated study with cultural immersion, making it both an intensive education and a transformative personal retreat. By the end of the 25 days, you will have the practical skills and deep understanding needed to confidently teach and share yoga.
