Rishikesh · 25 days · From USD 1034
This 200-hour teacher training is a deep dive into the practice and teaching of yoga. You'll split your time between two styles: the precise, breath-linked sequences of Ashtanga Primary Series and the creative, fluid movements of Vinyasa. The curriculum covers asana alignment and variations, sequencing, use of props, voice modulation, Sanskrit terminology, and practice teaching. You'll also study anatomy, physiology, psychology, yoga philosophy, and the business side of teaching yoga.
The teaching team is the heart of this course. Led by Sarvottam Kumar, an ERYT-500 certified teacher with a focus on meditation, the group includes experts in Ashtanga, Vinyasa, anatomy, and Iyengar. With small class sizes, you'll get direct feedback and support in every session. The instructors are known for being patient, approachable, and deeply knowledgeable—graduates consistently praise their teaching and the school's supportive atmosphere.
The location is a major draw. Rishikesh is called the birthplace of yoga, and the school is nestled in the green foothills of Tapovan, surrounded by mountains and a small waterfall. You'll wake to birdsong, practice on a rooftop shala with mountain views, and walk to the Ganges for evening aarti or just to sit by the river. The area is a peaceful escape from traffic and noise, yet has plenty of cafés and shops nearby.
The course is practical and structured. You'll learn how to sequence classes, adjust students, and teach with confidence. In the final week, you'll lead sessions and receive constructive feedback. By the end, you'll have the skills to teach group classes and a solid foundation in yoga philosophy and anatomy. The school also provides a strong support network after completion, so you're not on your own once you leave.
