Indonesia · 21 days · From USD 1294
The 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali is a full-immersion program designed to prepare you for teaching yoga with confidence. The course runs over 21 days and 20 nights, with check-in on the 7th day of the month and check-out on the 27th. Training begins the day after arrival, so you'll be in practice from day one.
Your daily schedule includes a mix of asana practice, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, and anatomy. You'll learn alignment principles, effective teaching techniques, and how to sequence classes. Practice teaching is a key part of the course, giving you real experience in front of a class before you graduate. The curriculum is comprehensive and follows the standards required for Yoga Alliance registration.
What sets this training apart is the quality of the instructors. Soney Ji, an experienced Ashtanga and alignment teacher with a Master's degree in Yoga from Rishikesh, leads the main practice sessions – reviewers consistently describe him as the real deal. Sarvottam Kumar, an ERYT-500 certified teacher, covers philosophy, pranayama, and meditation, bringing his background in mantra, bhakti, and Gyan yoga. Aakanksha teaches anatomy, and Vivek ji, from Rishikesh, adds depth to alignment and vinyasa flow. Paula, a traveling yogini, offers an Ashtanga perspective.
The location near Ubud is perfect for study: it's quiet, surrounded by nature, yet close enough to town for excursions. The property includes a yoga shala, a swimming pool, and gardens. Meals are vegetarian/vegan, prepared on-site, and served three times a day. Group excursions and nature hikes are included, giving you a taste of Bali's beautiful landscape.
One thing to note: reviews are mixed about the property itself, with some mentioning that the accommodation and food are not as polished as the teaching. It's a real training center, not a luxury resort. If you're focused on the quality of instruction and the certification, it's a strong program; if you're expecting five-star amenities, you might be disappointed. The teaching, however, is consistently praised.
