21-Day Hatha, Vinyasa & Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, India

India · 21 days · From USD 799

The training is structured to give you a thorough foundation in yoga teaching, not just physical postures. Mornings begin with meditation and mantra chanting, followed by an asana practice that rotates between Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga styles. The afternoons are split between adjustment and alignment labs, and classroom sessions on yoga philosophy, anatomy, and Ayurveda. As the course progresses, students take turns leading parts of the practice, so by the end you've had real teaching experience under supervision.

The shala is located in Arambol, a laid-back beach town in North Goa known for its alternative community and natural beauty. The property itself is an eco-friendly, organic oasis with a garden, a yoga shala, a meditation room, and a communal kitchen. It's not a luxury resort - guests describe it as simple, raw, and full of positive energy - but it's clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. The atmosphere is intimate, with group sizes kept to 20-30 participants so you get personal attention from the teachers.

Shiva, the main instructor, is a barefoot yogi who brings a free-spirited, authentic approach to his teaching. He focuses on Hatha, Vinyasa, alignment, and mantra. He's joined by Pallavi Ji, who specializes in Hatha Yoga, anatomy, and pranayama, and whose classes are known for building strength and body awareness. The teaching team as a whole covers a wide range of expertise, and students consistently praise their knowledge and how well they take care of everyone.

The food is a major highlight. You'll get three saatvik vegetarian meals a day, prepared fresh with local ingredients and designed to support your practice. Guests regularly describe the food as delicious, healthy, and made with love. There are also fruit and snacks available all day, and tea, coffee, and water throughout. The team can accommodate vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free diets with advance notice.

Arambol itself has plenty to explore on your days off. There's a famous sweet water lake, a banyan tree that's a local landmark, and beaches that are perfect for swimming or just watching the sunset. You can take part in ecstatic dance, visit the markets, or book a mud bath. The retreat also organizes group excursions and nature hikes with a trusted guide, so you'll have plenty of chances to see more of the area.
