21-Day Oceanfront Yoga Teacher Training in Bali

Indonesia · 21 days · From USD 1725

Ulu Yoga's 200-hour teacher training is built around a simple idea: you should finish feeling ready to actually teach. That's why teaching practice starts early and happens every day. You'll begin by guiding small parts of a class, then build up to leading full 75-minute sessions with detailed feedback from instructors. This focus on real-world teaching sets the program apart.

The curriculum covers a lot of ground. You'll start each day with meditation, pranayama, and a Hatha or Vinyasa practice that builds your understanding of alignment and sequencing. Asana labs break down key poses with variations and hands-on adjustments. Functional anatomy teaches you how to keep yourself and your students safe. Philosophy classes explore the Yoga Sutras and how they apply to daily life. You'll also get weekly 90-minute sessions in aerial, acro, and yin yoga—a chance to explore different styles and have some fun.

Aerial yoga is taught using custom-designed swings with extra cushioning, making it more comfortable and beginner-friendly than traditional hammocks. Acro yoga focuses on safe partner work, building trust and communication. Yin and restorative practices, along with Yoga Nidra, help you recover and find stillness. There's also 30 hours of online study you can complete before or after the onsite training, with videos covering all the topics.

The lead instructor, Eddie, founded Ulu Yoga in 2014 after years of studying yoga across Asia. He's joined by a team of experienced teachers like Héloïse, Adnya, Prashant, Arbely, Elena, Flora, Marylene, Bianca, and Macarena—each bringing their own expertise in areas like anatomy, trauma-informed practice, acro, and energy healing. Together, they create a supportive, family-like atmosphere where you can learn and grow.

The location itself is a big draw. The shala sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean near Bingin Beach, one of Bali's most beautiful surf spots. In your free time, you can explore Uluwatu's famous beaches, visit temples, or head inland to see waterfalls and rice terraces. The resort has a pool, gardens, and is surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful base for your training.
