23-Day 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Coastal Greece — Vinyasa, Hatha & Meditation by the Ionian Sea

Greece · 23 days · From EUR 2200

The schedule runs six days a week and covers the full 200-hour Yoga Alliance syllabus. Mornings start with pranayama from 8:00 to 9:00, then vinyasa from 9:00 to 10:30, breakfast from 10:00 to 11:00, and an analysis and adjustments session from 11:30 to 13:30. Lunch and rest runs 13:00 to 15:00. Afternoons move into teaching methodology, philosophy and anatomy from 15:00 to 16:30, then restorative practices or workshops from 16:45 to 18:15, and dinner at 19:00. Sundays are free — no meals are served that day, so most people head out to eat in the village or along the coast.

What makes this different from a lot of 200-hour trainings is the setting and the size. Mytikas is small enough that you'll know the village by the end of the first week, and the hotel is yours for the duration — pool, gardens, restaurant, bar and shala all in one place. Because it's run by YogaUnion Bali, the teaching standard carries over from their Bali trainings, but the location and the Greek food are specific to this one.

The lead teacher, Ourania Bouzouki, started practising in 1996 with Giovanni Formisano and completed a four-year Hatha yoga teacher training. She has since accumulated thousands of hours across TTCs, seminars and workshops, including regular trips to India, and has been running her own international teacher training school since 2010. She now lives in Bali but returns to run trainings through the year. On this course she's supported by additional instructors for anatomy, philosophy and methodology.

Thesmos Village Hotel sits about 35km from Aktion National Airport (PVK), which is the easiest way in — a taxi is around €70 and takes about 30 minutes. Athens (ATH) is possible but it's a 4 to 4.5 hour drive, and transfers can only be arranged if you land before 13:00.

The certification you finish with is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance RYT, which means you can register as an RYT-200 once you complete the course and assessments. Placements are capped by the hotel's capacity, and the October–November intake listed 10 spots remaining across all four room options.
