Home › Retreats › 24-Day 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training on Agonda Beach, Goa
India · 24 days · From USD 1700
The training is built around the classical roots of yoga, with a strong daily mix of Hatha and Vinyasa practice in the mornings and more technical study later in the day. You'll cover asanas, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, and alignment, but also spend real time on the philosophy and lifestyle side of yoga, which is where Manoj's teaching really stands out. He grew up in the Himalayas and later studied in Rishikesh, and he brings that background into every session, whether it's a physically strong Hatha class or a quieter evening of mantra and Yin.
The beach location makes this different from a school in the city. Agonda is known for being one of the quietest beaches in Goa, so the setting itself supports the work you're doing. Mornings often start on the sand or in the open-sided shala with the sound of the waves, and there's space to be on your own when you need it. The school also organizes weekend excursions, nature hikes, and evenings with kirtan, so you get a taste of the local area and the chance to connect with the other students.
You won't just learn how to do poses — you'll learn how to teach them. There are dedicated workshops on teaching methodology, where you practice cueing, adjusting, and sequencing with feedback from the teachers. By the end of the course, you'll teach your own class as part of your assessment. The group is kept intentionally small, between six and ten people, so you'll get direct feedback on your teaching style and your personal practice throughout the month.
Those who've already been through the course come back for the teachers as much as the location. Manoj, Akshay, and the rest of the team have a way of making the material feel personal and practical, not dry. It's a rigorous program — you'll be on the mat most days — but it never feels rushed. You have time to let the practices sink in, which is exactly what a teacher training of this length should do.
