24-Day Hatha & Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in the Himalayas

The training is built around a comprehensive syllabus that includes asana practice, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, and Ayurveda. Mornings start before sunrise with cleansing kriyas and meditation, followed by a long asana and pranayama session. Afternoons are dedicated to workshops on alignment, adjustment, and creative sequencing, plus classes on anatomy and Ayurveda. Evenings wind down with mantra chanting and occasionally yoga-related films.

The lead teachers, Yogi Vijeth and Yogi Himanshu, both hold 500-hour RYT certifications and have taught internationally in China, Thailand, and Bali. The school follows the traditional Gurukul system of teaching, where students live and learn together, and instruction is given directly by the lead teachers rather than assistants. This creates a cohesive learning environment where you get to know your teachers well.

The location is a major part of the experience. Rishikesh is set in the foothills of the Himalayas beside the Ganges, and Tapovan offers a balance of spiritual tradition and modern convenience. You'll be within walking distance of the river, temples, and a range of cafes and shops. The school itself has a yoga shala and simple, clean accommodation with attached bathrooms, making it a comfortable base for deep study.
