25-Day Meditation & Yoga Nidra Teacher Training in the Indian Himalayas

25-Day Meditation & Yoga Nidra Teacher Training in the Indian Himalayas

India · 25 days · From USD 590

The training runs for 25 days and covers 200 hours of instruction, with a syllabus that gives equal weight to Hatha Yoga, meditation, and Yoga Nidra. You'll start early with pranayama and asana, then after breakfast move into theory sessions that explain the anatomy and philosophy behind what you're doing. After lunch there's a break, then more practice or teaching methodology, and in the evening you'll do Yoga Nidra or another guided relaxation. The days are full but not rushed—there's time to rest and absorb.

What makes this course different from a standard 200-hour TTC is the focus on meditation and Yoga Nidra. Most trainings skim over these, but here they're central. You'll learn how to lead a full Yoga Nidra session, how to adapt meditation instructions for different people, and how to hold a space for deep relaxation. You'll also study the mind-body connection in detail, looking at how breath and stillness affect stress and mental clarity.

The lead teacher, Gurudev Dhruvaji, has been teaching yoga and meditation for many years and is based in India. He trained in traditional Hatha and meditation lineages and is known for his clear, patient teaching style. He'll be with you throughout the course, along with other facilitators who help with practical sessions.

Uttarakhand is in the Himalayan foothills, near Rishikesh and the Ganges. The area is famous for its ashrams and yoga schools, and the natural setting—forests, rivers, and mountains—makes it easy to disconnect from daily distractions. The school itself has simple, clean facilities and a peaceful garden. You'll be surrounded by other students who are there for the same reason, which creates a supportive community.

On rest days, you can explore nearby villages, go for walks in the hills, or visit local temples. The course includes some excursions, but most of your time is spent on campus. The emphasis is on creating a container for deep practice, so the schedule is structured but not rigid. You'll have free time to journal, read, or just sit quietly. By the end of the 25 days, you'll have the skills and confidence to teach meditation and Yoga Nidra, and a solid foundation in Hatha Yoga.
