25-Day Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training with Himalayan Wellness Focus in Dharamsala, India

India · 25 days · From USD 1125

The training follows the Yoga Alliance 200-hour framework exactly: 100 hours of techniques, 25 of teaching methodology, 20 of anatomy and physiology, 30 of philosophy and ethics, and 10 of practicum. The teaching sticks closely to that structure, but the school adds workshops in Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Kundalini, chakra balancing, and therapeutic touch that go beyond the minimum. Expect to be busy, challenged, and steadily more confident in your own practice as you learn how to lead others.

A typical day starts at 6:30 am with asana, moves through pranayama and meditation in the morning, and returns for philosophy and teaching methodology after a long lunch break. Evenings run from 7 pm until later, so plan on a full schedule. Saturdays finish after lunch, and Sundays are completely free. You’ll be in a small group of between five and ten students, which means you’ll get a lot of individual attention from instructors who genuinely want to see you get comfortable with the material—past students consistently mention how held and supported they felt.

The school sits in Upper Bhagsu, a hamlet a couple of kilometres above McLeod Ganj that you reach on foot because vehicles don’t drive up that far. That isolation is part of the point: it cuts you off from distractions, so you’re left with the practice and the mountains. The immediate setting is calm and relatively uncrowded compared to the main town, yet the Dalai Lama’s residence, the Bhagsunag waterfall and temple, and countless hiking routes are all nearby for your days off.

The teaching team is unusually deep. Dr. Keshava leads much of the meditation content and brings serious expertise in scientific and esoteric dimensions of the practice. Eleanor Evrard, an osteopath and RYT-500, handles anatomy with practical insight into bodies and injuries. Shubham, based in Pune, teaches Hatha and philosophy with a background from Kaivalyadhama. Yogeesh and Amaresha add more Ashtanga and vinyasa experience. Together they present a broad, balanced view of yoga.
