27-Day Advanced 300-Hour Hatha, Ashtanga & Ayurveda Yoga Therapy Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India

Rishikesh · 27 days · From EUR 780

The curriculum is built around four strands: advanced Hatha and Ashtanga asana, teaching methodology, yoga philosophy, and yoga therapy. Mornings start early with pranayama, chanting and a two-hour asana class, then a break for breakfast. Mid-morning sessions cover alignment and adjustment technique — how to see what a student's body is doing and correct it safely. After lunch, you move into anatomy and physiology, then philosophy (the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and classical texts), then Ayurveda and therapeutic application: how to build sequences for people with back pain, knee issues, anxiety, or limited mobility. Evenings include restorative or yin practice, meditation, and time for self-study or assignment work.

What separates this from a shorter 200-hour course is the therapy component and the sheer amount of supervised teaching. You'll be paired up to teach short sequences to your peers, get feedback, and teach again. By the third week you'll be leading full 60–75 minute classes with an instructor observing and giving notes. Because the course is 27 days rather than 21 or 24, there's room to absorb material instead of rushing through it, and there's a rest day each week to walk into Rishikesh, visit temples, or just sleep.

The lead teacher is Haresh Sitapara, who has spent the last 10 years living and practising with yogis in India, is initiated in a traditional guru–disciple lineage, studied Ayurveda in Kerala, and holds E-RYT 500 and YACEP credentials with Yoga Alliance. He teaches Hatha, philosophy and mantra chanting, with five years of international teaching behind him. The school itself has been running teacher trainings in Rishikesh for years and has graduates teaching in several countries.

Rooms are simple and clean, with attached bathrooms, hot water, and purified drinking water. There's a yoga hall, a garden, a terrace and dining area, and Wi-Fi. It's not a luxury resort — it's a working yoga school where the focus is the training. Rishikesh town is a short ride away, with the Ganges, the evening aarti at Parmarth Niketan, cafés and bookshops. Dehradun Airport is the nearest airport, about 35 km away.
