28-Day Vinyasa-Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in Athens, Greece

The training is a structured month of study and practice. It combines the physical practice of Vinyasa yoga with a deep dive into yoga philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodology. The curriculum covers the history of Vinyasa yoga, its fundamentals and core principles, the anatomy related to the practice, pranayama and the pranas, the chakra system, and sequences designed to activate the chakras. You will also learn the code of ethics for yoga teachers.

Each class is limited to ten students, which means you get a lot of individual attention from the senior teachers, Carmen and Dietmar. Carmen is an experienced yoga teacher with over 20 years in the field, and Dietmar brings a background in kinesiology and holistic therapies. The training is designed to take you beyond treating Vinyasa as just a physical fitness practice and into a more integrated, holistic concept.

The accommodation is in a penthouse apartment in Glyfada, a residential area on the Athenian coast. It's a five-star standard with rooms that have balconies. The location is convenient: the beach is about 2.5 km away, there are supermarkets within walking distance, and a mountain hike is right behind the building. Athens city center is about 30-40 minutes away by car or public transport.

The food is something you'll need to think about. Breakfast is provided, but you'll be responsible for your own lunch and dinner. You can eat out at the many restaurants in Glyfada or use the kitchen facilities to prepare your own meals. The area is a popular seaside resort with plenty of options, from traditional Greek tavernas to international cuisine. The training schedule is full, but there is some free time to explore the area and enjoy the amenities.
