Rishikesh · 28 days · From USD 838
This 200-hour holistic yoga teacher training weaves together Hatha and Ashtanga yoga, pranayama, mantra chanting, anatomy, philosophy, and teaching methodology. Rather than teaching these as separate subjects, the course shows how they support each other on and off the mat. You’ll study the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, learn the Led Primary Series of Ashtanga, and practice traditional cleansing techniques like Jal Neti. The goal is not just to teach you how to instruct, but to refine how you listen, observe, and embody yoga in daily life.
Mimamsa Yogshala is one of the first schools to combine yoga and music, and the schedule reflects that — evening kirtan and mantra chanting are a regular part of the week. There are also workshops in aerial yoga, sound healing, and mud therapy, plus a bonus Reiki Level 1 initiation. The training is designed for experienced beginners and intermediate practitioners, and the small group size (maximum twelve) means teachers can give individual attention. You’ll leave with a RYT 200 certification, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance, and with a much deeper personal practice.
The setting is a key part of the experience. Rishikesh sits in the Himalayan foothills, with the Ganges flowing through the town. The school is close to the river, surrounded by cafes, shops, and the sounds of monkeys and birds. The accommodation is simple but clean, with rooms sharing bathrooms, a fan, and most rooms having a balcony — the top ones with river views. Life here is stripped back, and the routine — early mornings, set meal times, and daily practice — becomes a rhythm that supports deep learning.
