Home › Retreats › 3-Day HYROX Camp in the Champagne Region with Noémie Hanse
France · 3 days
The camp runs Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon and takes place at a dedicated sports estate in Val de Livre, in the Champagne region, 45 minutes from Paris by train via Reims. The site has a HYROX gym, a 250 m² dojo, a running track and outdoor recovery spaces, and the cottages, restaurant and training venues are all within a few dozen metres of each other, so there's no wasted time on transfers during the weekend.
Day 1 starts at 2pm with check-in and a briefing covering the programme, the objectives and how the facilities work. From 4pm the focus shifts to technique and station optimisation, including a wall ball challenge to work on precision, coordination and power. There's a break around 6pm, dinner at 7pm, and from 8:30pm to 10pm a Q&A session on HYROX where you can ask Noémie detailed questions about technique, pacing and race strategy before the heavy day.
Day 2 is the main training day. Mobility at 7:30am, breakfast at 8am, then warm-up advice at 9:30am followed by a full HYROX simulation — either solo or in pairs — so you rehearse race format under realistic conditions. After lunch there's a breathwork and meditation session, then running-specific strengthening work at 3pm, a snack with nutritional and supplement advice at 4:30pm, and a choice between an easy run or a rest period before dinner at 7pm. The evening finishes with board games and informal discussion about HYROX.
Day 3 keeps the same morning rhythm — mobility at 7:30am, breakfast at 8am — and at 9:30am the group takes on a team challenge that tests cohesion and everything learned over the weekend. Lunch runs until 2:30pm, the afternoon opens with a relaxation and debriefing session, and the camp ends at 4pm with departures.
The difference between this camp and a generic fitness weekend is that it's a HYROX-specific race preparation camp. Every session maps onto something you'll do in competition: the simulation, the station technique work, the running-specific strength and the nutritional briefing on the snack break. It's also small — one supervisor for six to fourteen people — and the location means you can get there from Paris in under an hour by train, with the shuttle from Reims included.
Noémie Hanse is a sports coach and athlete specialising in functional training and HYROX. She coaches a structured mix of strength, cardio and technical work, and adjusts the programme to whatever mix of beginners, intermediates and advanced athletes turns up. The camp is run in French.
