3-Day Yoga and Meditation Retreat on the Mekong River in Cambodia

Blue Indigo Yoga Retreat Center has been welcoming guests since 2015. It's a certified Yoga Alliance school, which means the teaching quality is consistently high. The center is set in a large garden filled with trees and flowers, with simple wooden cottages and a swimming pool. It's not a fancy resort—it's a place for practice and connection.

Each day typically includes a morning meditation session, yoga classes in various styles (hatha, vinyasa, yin, aerial), and an evening sound bath or workshop. The schedule is flexible, and guests are free to opt out of any activity. Mondays are rest days, without scheduled classes, leaving you free to explore or simply relax.

The food is a highlight. Jan, the owner, cooks a creative fusion of French and Cambodian cuisine, all vegetarian and made from scratch. Meals are served outdoors with views of the river. You can expect dishes like fresh tropical fruit for breakfast, hearty salads at lunch, and flavorful curries in the evening.

Besides yoga, there are opportunities for bike rides along the river, visits to nearby pagodas, or a day trip into Phnom Penh to explore the markets and colonial architecture. The retreat also offers extra services like massages, though these aren't included in the package.

The teaching team includes several experienced instructors. You might be guided by Asma, a certified Iyengar yoga teacher with an artistic background, or Firouzian, who holds multiple 200-hour and 500-hour TTCs. Jean offers meditation instruction in the Anapana Sati and Vipassana traditions.
