Indonesia · 25 days · From USD 1811
The 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud is built for intermediate and advanced practitioners who want to go beyond the foundations of a 200-hour course. The curriculum follows Yoga Alliance guidelines, meaning you cover asana practice, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, philosophy, and teaching methodology in a structured way. Mornings alternate between pranayama and meditation at 6:30, then move into a long asana session that rotates between Hatha, Iyengar-style alignment, Vinyasa flow, and Ashtanga. Afternoons focus on the academic side: how bodies move and where injuries happen, the history and philosophy of yoga, and the practical craft of sequencing a class.
The teaching team are all based out of Maa Shakti Yog's home in Rishikesh and are flown in for the Bali trainings. Lead teacher Yogi Rajesh ji holds an E-RYT 200 and RYT 500, has a master's degree in yoga sciences, and has taught for over a decade. He works alongside teachers like Jaggi, who grew up in a yoga family in Haridwar and has studied marma therapy and alternative therapy alongside classical Hatha. Between them they cover asana, pranayama, kriyas, yoga nidra, mantra, and the subtler practices like mudra and bandha that most drop-in classes never touch.
What makes this course different from shorter trainings is the pacing. You spend 25 days together, which gives you time to actually embody what you're learning. The evening sessions move from physically demanding work into yoga nidra and sound healing, and there are built-in rest periods and self-study slots. The school also arranges weekend excursions and cultural activities, so you see something of Bali beyond the shala walls. Graduates consistently mention the teachers' patience and depth of knowledge in reviews, and many say the course changed how they practice and how they want to teach.
Located at the Maa Shakti Yog school on Jl. Bisma, you are in the middle of Ubud's yoga scene, close to the Campuhan Ridge and the Monkey Forest. The hotel has a pool, a garden, and a 24-hour restaurant, and the shala sits beside it. This is a genuine teacher training with certification at the end, not a themed retreat with a few workshops attached.
