300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in Thailand

Chiang Mai · 29 days · From USD 2760

The training is built around three modules: The Art of Teaching, which covers assists, verbal cues, trauma-aware teaching, and the yoga of Patanjali; The Wisdom of the Chakras, a seven-day journey through the chakras, pranayama, and teaching chakra-focused classes; and Injury Management, which explores functional anatomy through common injuries, conscious communication, and planning safe sequences.

Kathryn, who holds a PhD in biomedical science, teaches anatomy in a practical, body-focused way, breaking down the feet, legs, hips, spine, core, shoulders, arms, and neck. James, with over 40 teacher trainings under his belt, focuses on sequencing and bringing traditional Hatha together with a modern, science-based approach to Vinyasa. Amy leads a workshop on the Mahavidyas—the ten wisdom goddesses of the tantric tradition—and offers tools to access their energy through yantras and meditation.

The 50-hour Chakra Yoga module is taught online by James, so you can complete it before or after the in-person training. It includes pre-recorded lessons and fortnightly calls.

The location is a big part of the experience. Mala Dhara Eco Resort is about 45 minutes from Chiang Mai airport, in a quiet, countryside setting that feels far from the tourist bustle. The earthen buildings, with their grass roofs and glazed adobe floors, are both rustic and comfortable. The open-air shala is where daily practice happens, and the saltwater pool is a welcome break in the heat.

The teaching team lives on-site throughout the month. That means your teachers aren't just available during class time—they're around for meals, evening chats, and informal questions, which makes the training feel more like a community and less like a course.
