300-Hour Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India

Rishikesh · 28 days · From USD 861

The core of this training is a 300-hour curriculum registered with Yoga Alliance, USA. It builds on a 200-hour foundation and is designed for both improving your own practice and learning to teach others. The style is a mix of traditional Ashtanga (intermediate series) and Vinyasa flow, with daily sessions in meditation, philosophy, pranayama, body alignment, and anatomy. You'll also cover six types of Shatkarma (body cleansing), six meditation techniques, six types of pranayama linked to chakra work, the stories and Sanskrit names of postures, alignment and modifications, mantra chanting with instruments, and the Vedic tradition of yoga and diet.

Each day of the week has a rhythm. From Monday to Saturday, classes run full-time, with Saturday often including special detoxifying cleansing practices. Sundays are for excursions—heading into the mountains or to local sights. Over the month, there's one sound healing class, a session on women's cycles, a full body massage, and the Bollywood dance class. The month starts with an opening ceremony on the 1st and ends with a graduation ceremony and certificate distribution on the 30th. The schedule is demanding, but the small batch size means you get direct attention from teachers.

The teachers are the heart of this school. Yogi Rajesh, with a master's in Yoga and an E-RYT with Yoga Alliance, is known for his vinyasa flow expertise and has been teaching for six years. Another Yogi, often called the master of body alignment, has been teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa for 3-4 years and is popular in Rishikesh for his postural knowledge. Yogi Saajan handles meditation and philosophy, bringing a strong voice for mantra chanting and a therapeutic approach to relaxation. Yogi Deepraj, born in Rishikesh, teaches hatha yoga and has been invited to teach workshops overseas. Yogini Priyanka, the youngest, leads Ashtanga classes and is described as an example of women's empowerment.

Location plays a big role. Rishikesh sits at the foothills of the Himalayas by the holy Ganges, and the school has a view of the river. It's a city full of yoga culture, from ashrams to cafes, and the environment supports a month of focused study. Reviews highlight the 'family-like' atmosphere and the intensity of the learning—one guest said a week felt like a month. If you're looking to advance your teaching credentials or just take your practice to a deeper level in a classic setting, this is a solid, well-regarded choice.
