Nepal · 31 days · From USD 1809
This 300-hour training is designed for students who already hold a 200-hour certification and want to go further. Over 30 days you'll study advanced asana and alignment, deeper pranayama and breathwork, mantra, meditation, mudras, bandhas, and the traditional shatkarma detox practices. The philosophy side covers the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, with a focus on how those ancient texts actually apply to teaching modern students.
What makes this course different is the Ayurveda component. Instead of a token lecture, you get a full month of dosha analysis, Ayurvedic nutrition, fasting practices, and lifestyle guidance, plus training in yoga and Ayurveda therapy for common health conditions. By the end you're qualified to bring that knowledge into your own classes—most graduates leave able to advise students on diet and daily routines as well as asana. The teaching practicum also sets it apart: with a small group capped at fifteen, you're on your feet teaching regularly, getting feedback on sequencing, communication, and adjustment from Master Hemu.
The location is a big part of the experience. The retreat sits on a quiet hill east of Lakeside Pokhara, surrounded by forest and looking down on Phewa Lake. It's quiet enough to study without distraction but close enough to town to wander in for lunch or a SUP session on the lake on days off. Founder Yam Bahadur Ranabhat runs the place with his family, and guests consistently mention how cared-for they feel—he's been known to sleep in a guest's room to look after them when they're sick. The other thing guests mention is the food: sattvic, vegetarian, prepared fresh daily with produce from the local market, and cooked to support long days of practice.
