Indonesia · 14 days · From USD 1552
The training is built around giving you real teaching skills, not just a pile of posture knowledge. Unlike some programs where you mostly observe, you actually start guiding sections of class early on, building up to leading a full 75-minute practice by the end. You’ll get direct feedback throughout, and the school has structured the course so that sequencing, class design, and communication are taught in a practical, repeatable way.
Daily schedule is consistent, which helps you settle into a rhythm. Each morning you’ll do meditation, pranayama, and then a sustained hatha or vinyasa practice. Later, asana labs break down the details of key poses, and you’ll cover philosophy—Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, chakras, the gunas, and Ayurveda basics—in a way that stays connected to daily life rather than floating in theory.
The training deliberately includes styles you won’t find in most general 300-hour programs. Each week there’s an aerial yoga session using Ulu Yoga’s custom swing, which is more padded and comfortable than typical hammocks, making it beginner-friendly. There’s also acro yoga, taught by Flora and Lloydie (known as Double Up), which is playful and focuses on safe technique and effective spotting. Yin, restorative, and yoga nidra are woven in to balance the more dynamic work, and you’ll learn Ashtanga as a bridge between hatha and vinyasa.
The teaching team is genuinely international: Héloïse from France, who has taught at Google and the Four Seasons; Manjeet from India, with over 3,000 teaching hours in tantra and meditation; Arbely, who studied Ashtanga under Sharath Jois; Marylene, a doctor of osteopathy; and others who bring decades of combined experience. The location itself deserves a mention: the shala has an ocean view, and the resort has an infinity pool and is surrounded by tropical gardens. In your free time, you’re minutes from Uluwatu’s famous surf beaches, temples, and waterfalls.
A final note on the online portion: the 75 hours of required online study is flexible—you can do it before or after the on-site training. It includes video lectures on everything from anatomy to business essentials (like how to get listed on platforms and build your presence). You just watch the videos, and progress is tracked automatically. This hybrid setup is one of the reasons students say it fits their lives, not the other way around.
