4-Day Yoga and Naturopathy Detox Retreat in the Heart of Rishikesh

4-Day Yoga and Naturopathy Detox Retreat in the Heart of Rishikesh

Rishikesh · 4 days · From USD 192

This retreat combines daily yoga, meditation, and pranayama with naturopathy treatments and a cleansing diet to support your body's own healing mechanisms. Each day includes a one-hour naturopathy session – treatments that use natural methods to encourage detoxification and deep relaxation. Alongside that, you'll have daily yoga classes suitable for all levels, guided meditation, and sound healing sessions that aim to calm the nervous system and release tension.

The food here is a big part of the experience. You'll be served three meals a day, with lunch and dinner featuring fresh vegetables, salads, roti, rice or millet, dal, and often a light dessert. The meals come from a yogic diet tradition, inspired by Ayurveda, served in brass and copper vessels. There are also three types of cleansing juices – green, red, and fruit – designed to support specific aspects of your health, from liver detoxification to circulation. Millet, a key ingredient, provides fiber and minerals to support digestion.

Location plays a huge role in how you feel during your stay. Rishikesh is known for its spiritual energy, and the center is tucked into the foothills with views that remind you where you are. On one of the afternoons, you'll visit Ram Jhula and the Ganga Aarti, a ritual of fire and song on the banks of the Ganges that happens every evening. It's a memorable experience even if you're not religious, and it adds a cultural layer to the detox.

The retreat is run by a team led by Pranjal Ji, an E-RYT 500 certified yoga instructor with 10 years of teaching experience. He trained at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, then completed a 300-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa certification in Mysore under Sri Ramesh Shetty, and has studied Kundalini Yoga in Rishikesh. He's known for explaining yoga philosophy in plain, modern terms, using stories to make it all understandable. Other teachers include Acharya Eknath Ji, who brings deep Vedic knowledge and a background in meditation from years spent in the Himalayas, and Shubham Uniyal Ji, a young instructor with post-graduation in Yogic Science.

What sets this retreat apart is its combination of naturopathy with traditional yoga – it's a genuine detox program, not just a yoga holiday. If you're carrying the effects of poor diet, stress, or erratic sleep, the structure of this program addresses those directly. And it's short enough to fit into a busy year, but often long enough to shift your habits in the right direction. As the reviews say, guests leave feeling calmer, lighter, and with practices they can continue at home.
