49-Day 500-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Bali with Ocean Views

Indonesia · 49 days · From USD 4595

The course is built around daily practice and study. Each morning begins with a two-hour class in hatha or vinyasa, including pranayama and meditation, with options for beginners and intermediate students and hands-on adjustments. After breakfast, the day continues with asana labs, where you learn alignment, technique, and modifications for core poses, plus anatomy workshops that cover bones, muscles, fascia, and the nervous system. Philosophy sessions dig into the yoga sutras, the eight limbs, chakras, and doshas, and you'll also get practical business training on joining Yoga Alliance, building a social media presence, and designing your own retreats. Every week you'll practice teaching, and you'll teach a full 60-minute class each week with detailed feedback.

What makes Ulu Yoga different is the range of styles covered. Beyond the core hatha and vinyasa, there are daily workshops in aerial yoga (using cushioned swings—a Ulu specialty), acro yoga, yin yoga, and yoga nidra. You'll also do ecstatic dance, kirtan, and a beach yoga session. The 300-hour part goes deeper into advanced transitions, creative sequencing, and traditional tantra and kundalini. The flex week between the two courses gives you the option to take time off to explore Bali, stay on site for self-study, or join discounted short courses in yin, aerial, or ashtanga for an additional certificate.

The instructors are an international team with long teaching histories: founder Eddie started Ulu Yoga in 2014 after years of study across Asia; Héloïse has taught for Google and Lululemon; Arbely has over 1000 hours of training and studied under Sharath R. Jois; and Marylene is a Doctor of Osteopathy specializing in anatomy and therapeutic yoga. The training takes place at two locations: weeks 1–3 at Ulu's ocean-view shala, and weeks 4–6 at Le Bamboo, a four-star resort with an infinity pool. Both are near Bingin Beach, known for surfing, and within walking distance of cafes and shops. You'll also get one free visit to Santai Recovery Spa with a sauna and cold plunge, plus a free Balinese massage.
