5-Day Healing Yoga Retreat in Goa, India

The retreat runs on an ongoing course structure, so you'll be joining a small group of students at various stages of their training. Mornings start at 6:30 with meditation in the Dhyan Mandir, a dedicated meditation hall with a Shiva Linga, followed by mantra chanting and pranayama before breakfast. The main asana practice happens mid-morning, with a focus on Vinyasa flow. Afternoons cover the more academic side – yoga philosophy, anatomy, and Ayurveda – alongside a second asana or teaching practice session. Evenings are given over to Yoga Nidra or Trataka, and on Saturdays there's a workshop, shatkarma (cleansing techniques), or an outing organised by the team. Sundays are a full rest day, so you can head to the beach or just hang out in the garden.

What makes Shiva Yoga different is the sense of community. The shala is a family-run space, and the teachers – led by Shiva – make a point of knowing everyone's name and what they're working on. The accommodation is simple but comfortable, with private rooms and dorms available.
