Home › Retreats › 5 Day Luxury Yoga & Wellness Escape in the Italian Vineyards
Italy · 5 days · From USD 3499
The retreat is hosted by Lakshmi Rising, a yoga school founded by Dr. Liz Lindh, and it runs alongside their 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings. That means you're in a space with people who are seriously studying yoga, but you're not required to do any homework or practice teaching. The morning practice is a 90-minute Lakshmi Rising Vinyasa Flow, and there's a sunrise meditation and chanting session with views of the ocean (the estate is inland but the description refers to the wider region).
Your days can be as full or as empty as you want. The schedule includes group meditation, breathwork, chanting, a vinyasa practice, and then optional sessions like a yoga posture workshop, an Ayurveda lecture, or a meditation and philosophy discussion. On Saturdays, there's a dedicated excursion day where you can join a group for a wine tasting at the estate's own winery, a beach day at Lake Garda, an opera in Verona, or a cycling tour of the countryside.
The property itself is the highlight. Villa dei Cipressi is a Heritage site, and the rooms are decorated with antique furniture, original artwork, and elegant lighting. There's an outdoor pool, gardens, a library, and a yoga shala. Meals are served among the trees, and you can wander the rose gardens or walk through the vineyards to get to the main villa if you're staying in the separate Vineyard Manor.
Dr. Liz Lindh is the lead teacher. She has over 30 years of yoga study, is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and has trained in the vinyasa lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya. She has certified over 1,200 students from nearly 50 countries and leads trainings in Costa Rica, France, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Her approach blends classical yoga philosophy with modern science and integrative medicine.
The retreat is capped at 22 participants, keeping the experience intimate. It's ideal for anyone who wants the depth of a training environment without the assessment pressure, or for yoga teachers who want to revisit the practice in a supportive community.
