5-Day Yin Yoga Teacher Training & Wellness Escape in Tulum

The training is built around the 7 Archetypal Yin Yoga Poses and their variations, a framework that connects each pose to a different human experience and energy aspect. You'll spend focused time understanding the purpose of Yin Yoga, learning core asanas, and getting into the details of alignment—specifically the difference between aesthetic and functional alignment. Because skeletal differences change how each body moves, you'll explore how variations make poses accessible and effective for different people. The curriculum covers principles of stretching and compression, the meridians associated with Yin poses, and the physiological impact on fascia, connective tissue, and joints. You'll also learn how to sequence a Yin class and weave meditative themes into your teaching or personal practice. The style is Paul Grilley's, which means poses are held for 3-5 minutes, and props are limited to blocks and straps—no bolsters. It can feel intense, especially if you've never done Yin before, so prior experience is recommended. The schedule is full, with classes at 7:00 a.m. and in the afternoon, but there's a long break midday that gives you space to enjoy Tulum's beaches or just decompress.
