50-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training in South India

India · 7 days · From USD 362

The training is held at Sri Anantha Niketan Ashram, a 4-acre farmland property with direct views of the sacred Arunachala mountain. Mornings begin with a Yin practice and pranayama, followed by breakfast and morning sessions on philosophy and teaching. Afternoons cover anatomy and meditation or kirtan, with evenings for dinner and rest. The curriculum includes the philosophy of Yin Yoga, the 14-10-7 model by Paul Grilley, myofascial release techniques, and how to sequence and teach a Yin class. Instruction is led by Linda, a Hatha and Yin teacher trained in Nepal and India, and Jamie, who specializes in Hatha and Yin/Restorative practices. The ashram provides a simple, tranquil setting with gardens, a library, and a yoga shala. Participants stay in shared twin or triple rooms, and all meals are vegetarian and sattvic, suited to various dietary needs.
