Kathmandu · 7 days · From USD 345
This training is a deep immersion into Yin Yoga, a gentle but profound practice that targets the deep connective tissues of the body through long-held passive poses. Rooted in Taoist philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yin Yoga harmonizes the body's energy meridians, increases mobility, and calms the mind. The curriculum is designed to complement dynamic Yang styles like Hatha and Vinyasa, offering a complete approach to physical and energetic well-being.
The daily schedule is thoughtfully structured. Mornings begin with Shatkarma and Pranayama at 6:00 AM, followed by a Hatha Yoga flow to energize the body. After a wholesome Ayurvedic breakfast, the focus shifts to anatomy and meridian theory, delving into the science behind the practice. Afternoons cover teaching methodology, and the day concludes with a two-hour Yin Yoga practice, allowing you to embody what you've learned.
The instructors are seasoned yoga masters with advanced training in TCM and yoga therapy. You'll be guided by experts like Prapti, who is known for her humor, warmth, and humility. Her classes emphasize alignment, breath, strength, and flexibility, and she brings a modern-day philosophy to her teaching. The small group size, between 1 and 8 participants, ensures personalized attention throughout the course.
The location is integral to the experience. The academy sits on the lap of Nagarjun Jungle in Kathmandu, offering a calm and spiritual environment away from the city's chaos. You'll be surrounded by lush greenery, with views of the jungle, monastery, and city. The serene setting enhances the transformative nature of the training, providing a sacred space for inner work.
