6-Day Yellowstone Wildlife Adventure Retreat in Cody, Wyoming

The retreat is based in Cody and Wapiti, Wyoming, right at the east gate of Yellowstone. Day one starts easy with a downtown Cody shopping excursion — you're responsible for your own purchases, but it's a fun, relaxed introduction to town. Day two is the big one: a guided tour of the Upper Geyser Basin, where you'll see Old Faithful erupt on schedule, along with other geysers and hot springs, plus a group photo at the park. Wildlife watching is woven throughout, and you can expect elk, moose, bear, buffalo, mule deer, foxes, and bighorn sheep — Angela knows where to look. Day three is whitewater rafting on the Red Canyon River, followed by a scenic wildlife hike. Day four is the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, which is five museums in one and covers western art, firearms, and natural history. Day five is horseback riding on trails outside the park, and day six is checkout. What makes this different from just booking these activities yourself is the guiding — Angela's a certified Vinyasa yoga teacher and a lifelong wildlife enthusiast, and she'll fill the drives with geology, natural history, and stories about the region.
