7-Day Muay Thai & Yoga Fitness Retreat in Rural Phetchabun, Thailand

Thailand · 7 days · From USD 585

A typical day starts at 6am with sunrise yoga and meditation, followed by Muay Thai training at 7am in the camp's dedicated studio. Breakfast is a buffet from 9am — eggs, rice dishes, fresh fruit, pancakes, and Thai-style options like pad kra pao. At 10am there's a Hatha yoga session, then at 12.30pm a cultural trip out: feeding the giant koi carp in the river, watching wild monkeys, or visiting a local temple. After lunch you'll have time back at the room before an Ab Attack at 3pm, another Muay Thai session at 3.30pm, and Vinyasa yoga at 3.30pm (the afternoon schedule runs several activities in parallel, so you pick what suits you). Dinner is buffet from 5.30pm.

What separates this from other Muay Thai camps in Thailand is the setting. Phetchabun sits in forested hills about three and a half hours north of Bangkok, far from the crowded gyms of Phuket and Chiang Mai. The property includes a 25m swimming pool, a weight-training gym, cardio machines, a Muay Thai studio, an open-air yoga shala, an indoor fitness studio, an outdoor training area, a restaurant, a smoothie bar, a massage shop, a nail spa and a tattoo parlour. There's a jungle hike and waterfall swim included during the week, plus a natural lake water park a short drive away.

The Muay Thai coaching is led by Thai trainers who have fought professionally; the camp welcomes complete beginners and will teach you the basics of stance, footwork and pad work before moving onto combinations. Yoga and meditation sessions are led by the same facilitator team, with a mix of Hatha in the mornings and Vinyasa in the afternoons. Because it's a family-run operation, classes are kept small and the coaches get to know your level quickly.

Accommodation is in private rooms at the camp itself, all with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. You'll share the property with other guests and the family who run it — meals are eaten together in the restaurant, and evenings are usually quiet, with people recovering for the next morning's training. Bedding and towels are provided, and there's a free Thai massage treatment included.

Getting there is straightforward: fly into Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK) in Bangkok, then either take a private transfer (around 3,500 THB per vehicle, roughly 3.5 hours) or a VIP air-conditioned bus (around 1,000 THB per person, roughly 5 hours). The camp sends full transfer instructions once your booking is confirmed. Airport transfers are not included in the retreat price.
