7-Day Surf & Yoga Wellness Escape in Ecuador's Hidden Coastal Village

Every day follows a rhythm dictated by the ocean. Mornings begin with a yoga session on the open-air deck overlooking the Pacific—classes are geared toward surfers, so expect lots of shoulder openers, core work, and hip mobility. After breakfast, you'll head to the water for your surf lesson or practice on your own with a board from the unlimited rental rack. The local instructors know the breaks intimately and will have you catching waves quickly.

The afternoons are flexible. You might take a skateboard to the nearby skatepark—reputed to be one of the best in the country—or cool off in the hostel's pool. There's a coworking space if you need to check in with work, and a library for quiet afternoons. The hostel also organizes optional trips: dolphin-watching, visits to the nearby town of Playas, fishing excursions, and cacao farm tours.
