7-Day Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud, Bali

The week starts with check-in at 13:00. Each full day follows a similar rhythm: Yin practice from 08:00 to 09:30, breakfast from 09:30 to 10:30, theory and teaching sessions from 10:30 to 13:00, lunch and rest from 13:00 to 14:00, then Yin training, anatomy and philosophy from 14:00 to 17:00, and meditation or practice from 17:00 to 18:00. Dinner follows. Sundays are free — no meals are served, so you can explore Ubud's restaurants.

What makes this different from a general yoga retreat is the focus on Yin specifically. You are not doing a bit of everything; you are learning one style in depth, including how to teach it. The course includes manuals and practical teaching time, and you leave with a certificate that counts toward Yoga Alliance registration.

The lead teacher is Ourania Bouzouki, who founded YogaUnion. She trained in Hatha yoga with Giovanni Formisano starting in 1996, has since studied with teachers in India and elsewhere, and has been running teacher training schools internationally since 2010. She now lives in Bali. She is involved in the trainings personally.

The location is YogaUnion Shala on Jalan Subak Sok Wayah, Ubud. It is set among rice fields, and the path to it is foot or scooter access only. The nearest airport is Ngurah Rai International (DPS), about an hour away by taxi. Airport transfers can be arranged through YogaUnion's local partners on request, but they are not included in the price.

Accommodation is included. You stay in comfortable rooms on the same rice-field path as the shala and restaurant. There is a swimming pool and wifi. The setting is tropical and quiet. Rooms are either double (shared) or private, and you choose when you book.
