8 Day Wellness and Yoga Escape in Bali

The days follow a simple rhythm. Mornings start with a Vinyasa or Hatha yoga class followed by meditation, led by teachers who live locally and have decades of practice behind them. After breakfast, there are village activities - making Balinese offerings, cooking classes, or learning about local traditions. Afternoons might bring another yoga session or an excursion, and evenings end with dinner together.

The teaching team is what sets this retreat apart. Putu Teddi came to yoga after a stressful career in banking and now teaches with a light, joke-filled style that makes beginners feel welcome. Adi has practiced traditional Balinese Watukaru Yoga for three decades and is a disciple of the ninth generation of one of the oldest spiritual ashrams in Bali. Between the two of them, you get both a gentle introduction to practice and a deep connection to Balinese spiritual traditions.

The accommodation is in individual bungalows spread through a botanical garden. Each has its own bathroom, a porch looking out over the jungle, and air conditioning. The property also has a pool, a restaurant, and a dedicated yoga shala. It's comfortable but not fancy - the point is to feel the peace of the setting.

A portion of the proceeds from the retreat goes to supporting school children in the local village, and the retreat is part of the Sesandan Heritage community initiative. So your stay contributes directly to the place you're visiting.
