Rishikesh · 28 days · From USD 1077
The 300-hour advanced training is structured around eight core modules. Advanced Asana gets into inversions, arm balances, and deeper backbends with an emphasis on strength, control, and alignment. Advanced Pranayama covers Kapalabhati, Bhastrika, Nadi Shodhana, and bandha work. Philosophy is a full deep dive into the Yoga Sutras, Upanishads, Samkhya, and Vedanta. Advanced Anatomy looks at fascial systems, nervous system dynamics, and biomechanics, and there's a dedicated module on yoga therapy. Teaching Mastery covers sequencing, theming, hands-on assists, and trauma-informed approaches. The practicum is the heart of it: filmed teaching sessions, peer feedback, and one-on-one mentorship. There are 25 hours of extended meditation, yoga nidra, and walking meditation, plus an elective specialization in Yin, Prenatal, or Yoga for Athletes.
The training is led by Sudhanshu Badoni and a small visiting faculty. The shala sits in Tapovan, on the western bank of the Ganges, a short walk from Lakshman Jhula bridge. Mornings start with temple bells and river air, and the Himalayan foothills frame the sunrise. It's a working training, not a holiday—you'll be practicing, studying, and teaching most of the day, with a structured rhythm that builds discipline. Evenings are quieter, with meditation, guest lectures, or kirtan. The setting itself is part of the experience; this stretch of Rishikesh has drawn practitioners to the river for generations.
The day starts at 5:00 AM with pranayama and kriya, followed by a two-hour advanced asana practice. After breakfast, you'll move into philosophy and text study, then anatomy before lunch. Afternoons are for teaching practicum and methodology, and the late afternoon is for your elective specialization. Dinner is at 6:30, followed by evening meditation or a guest lecture, and silence by 9:00 PM. This is a demanding schedule, and the training asks for real commitment. In exchange, you leave with the skills to teach with confidence and a much deeper relationship to your own practice.
