Advanced 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training in the Himalayan Foothills

The 300-hour advanced teacher training at Kunwar Yoga Centre in Dehradun is a month-long intensive for yoga teachers and serious practitioners. It goes beyond the 200-hour curriculum, diving deeper into Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa Flow, plus anatomy, philosophy, alignment, adjustments, and teaching methodology. The daily schedule is structured and disciplined, supporting both physical and mental growth.

Mornings start early with asana practice, followed by pranayama and meditation. The rest of the morning is usually spent on philosophy or anatomy classes, while afternoons focus on alignment workshops, sequencing, and teaching practice. You'll learn how to plan and lead classes, observe posture alignment, and make safe adjustments for different levels. This practical experience is a core part of the program, so you'll finish feeling ready to teach professionally.

The teaching team is led by Mr. Kunwar Ajitesh, an E-RYT 500 certified instructor with a traditional yoga background, along with RYT-500 teachers Jyoti Kunwar and Ridhima. They're known for giving personal attention and correcting students carefully, so you'll get feedback on your practice and teaching throughout the month. The small group size means you won't get lost in the crowd.

The location is a big part of the experience. Dehradun sits in the Doon Valley at the foothills of the Himalayas, so the air is clean and the climate is pleasant for most of the year. The school itself is in a quiet, green area, away from city noise but close enough to markets, cafés, and medical facilities. Rishikesh and Mussoorie are nearby if you want to explore on days off.
