Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and Meditation Immersion in Rishikesh

Advanced Yoga Teacher Training and Meditation Immersion in Rishikesh

Rishikesh · 28 days · From USD 1285

The 300-hour Advanced Yoga & Meditation TTC runs from the 1st of every month in Rishikesh. It’s fully residential, so you live on-site for the whole four weeks. The curriculum is structured around five main areas: advanced asana and sequencing, pranayama and meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, and teaching methodology. You’ll spend over 50 hours on advanced postures—think headstands, shoulderstands, wheel poses and deeper twists—learning alignment and how to sequence them safely for others. The pranayama and meditation modules cover techniques like Ujjayi, Kapalbhati, and Nadi Shodhana, along with guided practices like Yoga Nidra and Trataka.

Philosophy is given real weight here, with around 10 to 15 hours dedicated to the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Bhagavad Gita. You’ll also learn about the chakras, nadis, and the three gunas, and how these ideas apply to a modern teaching practice. Anatomy is practical—focused on bones, joints, and muscles and to prevent injury and offer modifications. The teaching methodology component includes practicum hours where you actually teach your peers under supervision, getting feedback on your cueing, adjustments, and class flow. There’s even a module on running a yoga business and the ethics of teaching.

The school is run by Moksha Yogshala, a name that’s well-known in Rishikesh for its teacher training programs. Vishal, the main teacher, has years of experience and is clearly regarded with real affection—multiple reviews describe him as a gifted instructor and simply a wonderful person. The facilities support the practice: a dedicated yoga shala, free Wi-Fi, a garden, and a kitchen that turns out simple, fresh vegetarian meals. Students share the space and that sense of community is a big part of what makes the month work. Weekends include excursions—nature hikes with a guide, group trips, and visits to local sights—so you get to see a bit of the area beyond the shala.

What’s not to underestimate is the intensity. This is a serious training with an early morning routine, long days, and a lot of material to absorb. But the payoff is real: you leave with a 300-hour Yoga Alliance certification and the ability to register as an RYT-500, which lets you teach advanced classes worldwide. You also leave with a much deeper personal practice—students often talk about feeling mentally clearer and physically stronger after the month. If you’re coming from a 200-hour training and want to take it to the next level, this is a solid choice.
