Home › Retreats › Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in Bali: 300-Hour Hatha & Meditation Immersion
Indonesia · 28 days · From USD 3800
The 300-hour advanced training at Taman Harum Cottages in Ubud builds directly on a 200-hour foundation. It's not about learning a sequence of new poses; it's about understanding the how and why of yoga practice. You'll spend each day moving through a structured syllabus that covers the Pawanmuktasana series, Sun and Moon Salutations, detailed asana study, restorative yoga, yoga for the three doshas, shatkriyas (cleansing techniques), pranayama with bandhas, mudras, and a range of meditation practices. The philosophy study is substantial—you'll explore the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Bhagavad Gita, and more, always in a practical, grounded way. The teaching is done by a team of experienced instructors. Master Nirakar, the founder, has been practicing for over 18 years and focuses on meditation and philosophy. Sam R brings a precise, alignment-based approach influenced by Iyengar, while Amit Chauhan teaches Hatha, Ashtanga, and Iyengar with a focus on safe adjustments. Will Burton adds a modern biomechanics perspective, especially on functional movement and hand balancing. You'll also practice teaching regularly—leading asana, pranayama, meditation, and restorative sessions—and receive feedback to refine your clarity and presence. The training is demanding, but it's designed so you can absorb the material without feeling overwhelmed\. The days follow a clear rhythm: morning meditation and asana, study sessions, anatomy, and afternoon practice. Evenings finish by 18:00, leaving time for rest, reflection, or exploring the village. The location is a big part of the experience. Taman Harum Cottages is a simple, peaceful retreat surrounded by rice fields and village life. It's close enough to Ubud's cafés and temples to wander into town, but far enough to feel removed from the tourist bustle. The pool, garden, and yoga shala provide a calm base, and the daily vegetarian meals are fresh and mostly organic. The small group size (4–12 people) means you'll get to know everyone well, and the atmosphere is supportive and collaborative, not competitive. You'll leave not just with a certificate, but with a deeper understanding of yoga and your own practice, and a set of skills that will make you a more confident and capable teacher.
