Portugal · 8 days · From EUR 695
Days at the camp fall into a rhythm rather than a rigid timetable. Day 1 is arrival — check in, eat something light, meet the group and settle in. From Day 2 onwards you'll usually do two sessions a day. A typical morning might be yoga at 08:00 to open up, then breakfast from the à la carte menu, then a circuit training or strength and technique class later in the morning. Lunch is at Kinoah.luz, 3 minutes from both the hotel and the training ground.
HYROX is the camp's signature format and runs several times a week for all levels — coaches scale the loading and movements, so beginners and experienced racers train side by side. Alongside it you'll find cross training (endurance, strength and gymnastics work), Pilates, mobility sessions, running, and open gym time if you'd rather do your own thing. Every guest gets one personal training session a week and one guided hike, which usually means the cliff path along the coast with Atlantic views.
What separates this from a standard fitness hotel is the facility itself: a 530 sqm outdoor training space purpose-built for group coaching, with the classes included rather than sold as extras. The coaching team is certified and works to your level rather than running one fixed script. The location is also unusually practical — private en-suite rooms across the street from the camp, a pool on site, and a beach and town within walking distance.
On Day 3 the schedule usually swaps a training block for the cliff hike and a trip into Lagos, stopping at Black & White Coffee for breakfast. Day 7 often runs a morning surf trip (08:00–13:00, depending on swell) followed by an afternoon cross training session and a group dinner. Surfing can also be added separately outside the programme.
The food is half-board: breakfast and lunch, à la carte, prepared to support training and recovery. Tuesdays are the exception — no meals are provided that day, so most people eat out in Luz or Lagos. Drinks aren't included with meals. The rest of the day is yours: pool, sun terrace, a walk to the beach, or a 15-minute drive into Lagos for the old town and its restaurants.
The Algarve summer runs warm and bright from May to October. Even in the hotter stretch the camp's open-air design keeps air moving, and there's shade under the roof. Airport transfers aren't included, but Faro (FAO) is about an hour away and Uber or taxi is straightforward — private transfers can be arranged for €70 each way.
