Thailand · 7 days
A typical day starts early. You'll be up for the first session around 07:00, which is a mix of warm-up, skipping, shadow boxing and then technical Muay Thai work — learning and drilling specific techniques with a coach. After that comes breakfast at the on-site restaurant, then a long break in the middle of the day. That gap is deliberate: Thailand is hot, and trying to train through midday is miserable for beginners. People use it to nap, swim, read, get a massage, or head into Pattaya. The second session runs in the late afternoon and is usually more physical — pad work, bag rounds, clinch drills and conditioning. You eat dinner at the camp, and most nights people are in bed early because the training catches up with you.
What makes this different from a lot of Muay Thai camps in Thailand is that it's genuinely set up for people who've never done martial arts. The coaches work with complete beginners daily and won't throw you straight into hard sparring. The schedule includes stretching and yoga sessions, and there's an on-site massage service — practical recovery support rather than something you have to go find. The camp is also self-contained: accommodation, restaurant, coffee shop, gym and massage are all on one property in the countryside near Pattaya, so you're not negotiating tuk-tuks every day. Several past guests mention it as a good place to build an exercise habit from scratch, not just for fighters.
The training itself covers the standard Muay Thai toolkit: punches, kicks, knees, elbows, the teep (push kick), footwork, and clinch work. Beginners spend a lot of time on pads with a coach holding for them, which is where you actually learn timing and technique rather than just hitting a bag. Strength and conditioning is built into the programme — this isn't just skill work, you'll get fitter. Sparring is available but optional, and beginners aren't pressured into it. Private lessons can be arranged if you want more individual attention, and several reviews reference doing private sessions alongside group classes.
The camp was founded with input from Christian Daghio, a multiple-time WBC Muay Thai world champion, and coaching is delivered by experienced Thai and international fighters. That background shows in the standard of pad work and technical instruction. The property is in Huai Yai, Banglamung district, Chonburi — roughly 20-30 minutes from central Pattaya and the beach, which means it's quiet at night and you're not in the middle of the bar scene unless you choose to go in. Pattaya itself has restaurants, nightlife, shopping and the coast if you want a change of scenery on your rest day.
Saturday afternoons and Sundays are off training, which is more rest than a lot of Thai camps give you. That matters more than it sounds for beginners — most people are sore by day three, and having a real break built in is why people finish the week rather than burning out. If you're doing two weeks or more, that rhythm is sustainable. The all-inclusive setup means you're paying once and not thinking about food or lodging for the duration, which is part of why the camp attracts solo travellers who want a structured first trip to Thailand rather than something they have to assemble themselves.
