Alpine Football Training Camp in Tyrol: 4-Day Team Break with Full Board

Austria · 4 days · From EUR 374

A typical camp runs three nights, four days, with the group arriving in the afternoon, training that evening, and then settling into a rhythm of two sessions a day. Mornings are usually on the pitch — fitness work, shape, set pieces — with a break for lunch back at the hotel, then a second session in the late afternoon or a lighter tactical walkthrough. Evenings are for team meals and downtime, and many groups use one slot for a team-building activity rather than a third session.

The pitches are the core of the product. Tyrol's partner clubs maintain both natural grass and artificial turf, and the organiser agrees fixed training times with each club at the point of booking, so you know your slot before you travel. In winter, the artificial pitches are cleared of snow by the clubs, and only in extreme weather does the schedule need to shift — if a pitch can't be used, the organiser arranges an alternative or refunds the proportional pitch cost.

What separates this from booking a hotel and a pitch yourself is the logistics. The organiser has standing agreements with the hotels and clubs, handles the training-time scheduling, and deals with changes in squad size. If two players drop out a fortnight before arrival, in most cases you only pay for the rooms you actually use, as long as you tell them in advance. That flexibility is the main reason clubs come back season after season — several reviews in the customer feedback mention rebooking for the following year.

Tyrol itself is a strong base for a camp. Innsbruck and the surrounding valley give you mountain scenery, easy road access, and enough off-pitch options — hiking, swimming lakes, cable cars — to keep a squad occupied on a rest afternoon. The province also has real football pedigree, with WSG Tirol and Wacker Innsbruck based here, so the setting feels like a proper football region rather than a generic resort.

The hotels vary from simple three-star pensions to four-star wellness properties. Hotel-Pension Jägerhof in Weer, Hotel Angerberg, and Hotel Goldener Löwe in Kufstein sit at the more affordable end, while Grosslehen Hotel & Chalets in Fieberbrunn and Hotel Alpina Resort nature&wellness in Wenns are the more comfortable options. All of them run full board for camp groups, and the customer reviews consistently flag the food and the proximity to the pitches as the things teams value most.

This is a group product, so it isn't sold as a single-bed booking. You come as a club, a school team, a university squad or a group of friends who can field a full team, and the price you see is per person for the package. If you don't yet know your final numbers, that's normal — the organiser is set up to handle that, as long as you keep them informed before arrival.
